Definitely not just “fine” and dangerous to have lying around. Seems harmless due to the pretzels as the base but its misleading. Great add for Christmas cookie trays with minimal effort.
Ingredients
- 8 oz Mini Pretzels
- 1 C Butter
- 1 C Brown Sugar
- 12 oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- Coarse Sea Salt to Taste
Method
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. On a greased parchment lined cookie sheet spread an even layer of Pretzels.
Step 2
Combine butter and brown sugar in a saucepan and cook over medium high heat until just boiling, stirring constantly. Boil for 3 minutes while still stirring, Pour butter and brown sugar evenly over the pretzels.
Step 3
Bake at 375 for 5 minutes. Immediately after removing the cookie sheet from the oven, top with chocolate chips. Let the pan sit for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Spread the chocolate chips evenly across the toffee.
Step 5
Sprinkle with sea salt.
Step 6
Let cool and break and break into pieces to serve.
